Position Summary:

Monitor on time and efficient performances of repairs, servicing and maintenance of work, utilization of the equipment and manpower involved for assigned location of responsibility. Responsible for ensuring the location is conducting safety inspections and follow up to maintain a satisfactory safety record and handling. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

• Train and instruct members in work methods and verify quality workmanship is being performed
• Oversee garage operations to ensure that equipment is being serviced on time to meet operating schedules
• Ensure maintenance procedures are being followed, and costs are being controlled according to operating budget
• Responsible for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and company safety regulations
• Conduct safety audits to ensure facilities are operating in a safe manner
• Work closely with transportation personnel and warehouse management to ensure proper service is delivered to the department
• Responsible for the complete and safe operating condition of equipment
• Responsible for performing maintenance at specific intervals
• Accountable for the operation and orderly efficiency of a clean garage
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provides feedback to direct reports
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position Qualifications/Education Requirements:

• Must be a team player and a team builder
• Must have a maintenance background
• Ability to lead a team
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency and meet deadlines
• 2 + years of supervisory experience
• Strong organizational and planning skills with specific attention to detail
• Ability to work alone or as a part of a team
• Ability to work weekends, nights, overtime and holidays on a regular basis
• Ability to complete skills and ability testing

Desired Previous Job Experience/Education:

• 2 + years transportation experience
