Position Summary:

Responsible for developing and executing the division’s energy efficiency program. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Essential Job Functions:

• Achieve energy usage and reduction goals by implementing best practices and technologies for retail stores and company facilities.
• Assist in developing utility budgets.
• Develop capital and expense budgets and allocations for building and equipment retrofits.
• Manage capital and expense projects associated with building and equipment retrofits.
• Assist with integrating energy reduction best practices into maintenance technicians’ daily activities.
• Provide Facility Engineering Department Manager with status updates on budget and project reports.
• Support Facility Engineering cost control initiatives by partnering with store operations to review variances in budgets, and to provide training to store managers at district meetings.
• Support division teams in the event of a utility outage and through restoration; communicate to appropriate leadership.
• Provide pertinent information to the corporate energy department to secure utility incentives.
• Partner with corporate Facility Engineering to select test stores and support execution for proof of concept to determine project viability for energy efficiencies.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications & Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• Strong financial skills; capable of creating budgets for projects and department
• Proficient skill level using Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel independently (less than 10%)
• Level 7- 3+ years proven engineering experience and proficient in all essential job functions
• Level 8- 7+ years proven engineering experience and expert in all essential job functions

• Minor Capital Engineer
• Regional Project Manager
