Mobile Developer- Android - Full-time / Part-time

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is looking for a Mobile Application Developer to join our Application Development team.  As a member of the Application Development team you will be responsible for accelerating software development and testing for new and existing products. We are looking for an individual with expertise designing and deploying customer facing mobile applications for deployment through the Android app store. The ideal individual for this position will be a subject matter expert with proven track record delivering commercial quality mobile products.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop mobile Android applications
• Integrate mobile applications with back-end RESTful services
• Understanding of importance of maintainable / sustainable product solutions
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues and defects through collaboration and monitoring application performance
• Work closely with Product Managers and Business Analysts in defining and analyzing requirements and outline proposed technology solutions
• Participate and provide subject matter expertise in mobile product design working closely with creative and business teams to deliver best-in-class customer experience
• Establish procedures and best-practices for newly formed consumer mobile application development practice
• Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications
• Accountable for uptime and high-availability for products supported
• Deliver solutions in an Agile - Scrum project methodology
• Learning new technologies when required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
• 1+ years of mobile application development for native Android apps
• Experience with mobile payments a plus

• Strong proficiency in mobile development
• Strong proficiency in Java
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Product mindset with strong customer focus
• Ability to operate effectively both independently as well and within a team using Agile methodology
• Able to recommend and enforce industry best practices and patterns
• Able to mentor and work with junior-level developers
• Must be well organized
• Team oriented

Typical Physical Demands:

• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
• Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
• Requires normal range of hearing and vision

**Relocation to the Oklahoma City area is preferred, but not a requirement.  We are willing to allow remote employment, but travel to Oklahoma City will be necessary.**
