Electric Pallet Jack (ride on) operator – Tampa FL

Full time contract to hire - Pay rate is $11.50 an hour

Monday to Friday from 10:30 am until the job is done every day (8-10 hours)

Small- and medium size grocery stores convenience, gas stations restaurants, caterers, canteens as well as service companies and businesses of all kind find everything they need in our stores to run their daily business.

Job Summary

 

The Order Selector/Picker is responsible for filling customer orders and delivering them to the delivery platform in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. The Order Filler is responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• Locate product in the warehouse using location forms
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
• Responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled
• Stencil, tag or mark orders as requested
• Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
• Conduct physical inventories as required
• Ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped
• Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling
• Meet company standards for productivity
• Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards

Working conditions

• Use repetitive motions, using upper and lower extremities, mount and dismount equipment.

• Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.

 

Physical requirements

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• Job frequently requires standing, handling objects with hands, standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting over 50 lbs.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
• Perform in Warehouse environments.

Preferred Education or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two years of Order Selector experience required. Electric pallet jack experience is required. RF Scanner experience preferred.

Position type/ Expected Hours of work

This is a full-time non-exempt position. This position may be required to work overtime.
