About this job
Our client in Downers Grove is seeking a Tool and Die Maker. This is a part-time position and the hours are Monday-Thursday from 6am-2:30pm. The pay depends on experience, and they are open to candidates who recently graduated.
• Maintain machine tooling by sharpening, repairing, or replacing
• Use Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators
• Read Prints files
• Build new tools from sketches, drawings, written instructions, or customer specifications
• Build prototype parts based on customer requirements/design
• Work with others to make component parts and assemble equipment
• Design, build, inspect, and calibrate special gages to meet customer specifications
• CAD or Solidworks experience a plus
• Assist production with set-up, operate, repair, and maintenance of equipment when needed
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 60lbs
• Bending, stooping, standing, walking, lifting, reaching above required. Use hands for pushing/pulling and fine manipulation
