Established local manufacturing facility is searching for an experienced Product Repair - Service Technician. The position has the ability to start ASAP for the right person. Our client is really looking for that long term fit to come out and prove they have what it takes to get the job done.

Rate of Pay: $20/hr
Location: Tukwila, WA
Duration: Full-time, temp to hire position
Hours: Day Shift 7 am to 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday w/overtime

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Will issue Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s) and recommend repair or replacement of returned electronic scales and supporting devices.
  • Will perform both electrical and mechanical repairs based on approved estimates.
  • Provides problem resolution and troubleshooting to customers over the telephone.
  • Researches complex problems, obtaining necessary information from policies, procedures, drawings, schematics and historical information.
  • Acts as a liaison between customer and company, providing feedback to Sales, Quality Assurance and Production.
  • Determines best method to resolve technical problems ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.
  • Provides guidance, training and instruction to non-technical representatives.
  • Will have a thorough technical knowledge of assigned products while displaying excellent communication skills.
  • Responsible for calibrating finished product from the Production and Service Departments for sales orders and repaired returns.
  • Calibrations will be performed per work instructions, manuals, sales order instructions and verbal instructions.
  • The technician will perform daily visual inspection of calibration equipment looking for any unsafe conditions such as loose bolts or cracks.
  • The tech will report any unsafe conditions to his supervisor for disposition prior to proceeding.
  • He/she will work closely with Production, Service, Shipping and Receiving.
Requirements
  • AA Degree in Electronics
  • Will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a Technical field.
  • Will have trouble-shooting skills to board level.
  • Will have above average soldering skills.
  • Will possess excellent oral communications and phone skills.
