One of our Clients in Union City is looking for a Quality Assurance Lead! Temp-to-hire opportunity!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains Company Food Safety and QA programs such as HACCP and CQPs. Adherence to customer specs, overall quality, and food safety of products.
  • Enforcement of plant GMPs, Hygiene, Food Safety controls, policies and standardization.
  • Decision-making and discipline skills for safety, quality and food safety situations and incidents.
  • Leads and manages quality technicians and appointed personnel. Responsible for their safety, quality, work performance, behavior. Resolution of employee conflict and adherence to company’s team principles.
  • Manages quality teams’ schedules, hours and time cards.
  • Reviews and responds to food safety and quality concerns throughout the plant.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of food safety and QA programs, as needed, SOPs, OPLs.
  • Works with Sanitation Group to ensure food safety and quality and cleanliness of the facility.
  • Ensures environmental and micro programs are being followed and maintained.
  • Assist with managing the pest control program and interact with pest control technician and inspections.
  • Documentation/records: to ensure completeness, accuracy, and up to date.
  • Non-conforming (Hold) program is being followed and maintained.
  • Works with vendors for food safety and quality of product and materials adherence. Completes defective material reports and follows up as necessary.
  • As directed by the QA Manager, investigate QA complaints and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Leads the SDS program and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
  • Conducts quality and food safety trainings (system software) and ensure that records are up to date.
  • Assist in implementation of Infinity QS software systems and maintain the system as needed.
  • Participates and leads as appointed in company’s continuous improvement, safety and Visual Factory Management, 5S, lean programs, SPC, Root Cause Analysis and programs designed to evaluate and improve processes and quality.
  • Conducts monthly plant GMP/Food Safety and Quality System audits.
  • Interact with FDA/Regulatory Inspectors, ensures all the products meet all applicable FDA regulations.
  • Participate and assist in Plant 3 rd party audits and certifications.
  • Assist QA Manager on special projects such as specification update, new QA equipment implementation, SPC programs, Quality and food safety systems, etc.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify and complete projects that contribute to improvement of the facility operations, food safety and quality programs.
  • Any other duties as required by management.
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm, M-F
