BIM DRAFTER

BIM Modeler / CAD Drafter

PrideStaff is seeking on behalf of a very well respected Engineering firm a BIM/CAD Drafter. An ideal candidate will have F&P and electrical experience and work within the firm according to established standards using Autodesk products AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Responsibilities include:

• BIM modelling and CAD drafting support for Associates and Project Managers during the planning, design, and construction phases of various projects
• Coordinate and manage Revit models
• Create / Modify / Update Revit families and CAD blocks
• Provide prompt and accurate progress status reports on a regular and consistent basis to supervisor and project team members
• Review all work for errors and mistakes prior to releasing as complete
• Maintain, create, and follow check lists to ensure consistency and quality of work on every project
• Meet or exceed deliverable time lines
• Identify training opportunities and areas for improvement based on day to day experiences and exposure to various projects
• Complete accurate and timely project time sheets accounting for time spent on each project
• Update drawings from mark ups
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• At least 5 years of CAD experience
• At least 5 years of full time Revit experience
• Ability to create and modify Revit families and CAD dynamic blocks
• Revit model coordination
• Ability to run clash detection using Navisworks
• Basic understanding MEP and low voltage infrastructure used for AV / IT / Security
• Knowledge of drafting standards
• Ability to use FTP sites to load and download files
• Ability to manipulate and adapt to files created by others
• Good knowledge of Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam
• Must be able to take direction and perform efficiently

Desired Qualifications

• Certificate or Degree from a technical trade school is desirable
• Direct experience with F&P and Electrical
• HVAC experience a must
