Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Print Lab Technician for a company located in Amherst, NY!
Hours- 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
Pay rate- $13 to $15 per hour
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support and interact with R&D, sales, marketing, customers and other groups with testing of TTR, DT, CIJ, AIJ, SI, etc., in various printers, gages, tools and test equipment.
• Develop robust test procedures / systems to support most stringent product design requirements.
• Analyze samples using test equipment such as scanners, Densitometers, Resistivity meter, and other equipment.
• Perform printing system trouble shooting (print head alignment, energy settings, ribbon and software issues).
• Assist in improving existing test procedures and methods; continuous improvement activities
• Assist in troubleshooting / root-cause analysis activities
• Maintain all existing printers, gages, tools and test equipment.
• Assist Statistical Analysis projects (verify process capability) and specification development and analysis.
• Help streamline processes in Print Lab (data management, report generation, complaints mgt.)
• Maintain multiple SharePoint sites for PL activities.
• Provide weekly reports on progress.
• Flexibility of work schedule
• Travel may be required periodically to visit customer sites
QUALIFIED CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS:
(Qualified candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the job)
• Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of applicable experience in technical, lab/manufacturing environment preferred
• Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and being able to multi-task.
• Self-starter and team player.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
• Strong analytical & PC skills to include MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Thermal Transfer technology and other imaging products a plus.
• Lean and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) experience a plus.
• Hands on experience with printers, simple machinery, electronic and computer hardware are a plus.
