Our Exciting Work Environment

This position will be located at Target Field, the Minnesota Twins stadium in Minneapolis, MN, home to the MLB American League Minnesota Twins. Sportservice currently has the full service contract for this 40,000+-seat state of the art facility, which includes concessions, premium services, catering and retail.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Level Supervisors and Service Leaders, serving food and beverage concessions in accordance with our Guest Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards.

Essential Functions:

Food & Beverage Service duties:

  • Greet guests as they approach concessions stands.
  • Serve food and beverage items in correct proportions and follow proper sanitation guidelines
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly, request identification, adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures
  • Record all waste
  • Acquaint guests with items for sale and effectively use suggestive selling techniques
  • Participate in set-up of concession stand, arrange inventory, notify Service Leader of any inventory deficiencies or shortages
  • Perform healthy clean-up practices in the stand to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Cashier duties (if applicable)

  • Properly record all transactions via the point of sale system and inform guests of the amounts owed
  • Collect the proper money for food and beverage items; process credit cards or determine correct change for guests
  • Account for all transactions; maintain accurate cash count and balance banks at end of shift

Condiment duties (if applicable)

  • Perform clean-up duties at the condiment stations in the concourse area to maintain the quality appearance of the stadium, including cleaning equipment, counters and containers
  • Properly fill the condiment appliances as needed
  • Keep supply cart stocked with condiments, sanitizer and cleaning solution
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Non-essential Functions:

  • Prepares food products in stand according to Company standards and specifications.
  • Shows flexibility by rotating to other stands when necessary.

Education & Experience:

  • No experience required, we supply optimized techniques to be successful

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s Guest Service Standards
  • Ability to complete required pre-employment sanitation and alcohol service training
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately account for cash and inventory.
  • Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and receive orders.
  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Excessive standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions. 
  • Ability to remain stationary for entire length of shift
  • Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 50 pounds.

Environmental Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to variable temperatures, including extreme hold and cold, depending on season
  • May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces
  • May be required to work in crowed spaces
