Position Details

Prepare food items that are appetizing according to recipes and quality standards

Job Duties

Cook and prepare food items according to recipes and quality standards
Maintain current knowledge of menu and products
Chop, slice, dice, and cut food items in preparation for cooking
Stock food items as needed
Clean and maintain kitchen and food prep equipment
Maintain proper sanitation controls of products
Comply with safety and quality standards
Perform as a team member and assist fellow employees to ensure a smooth operation
Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, coworkers, and supervisors displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people's needs
Greet customers positively, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner
Demonstrate skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customer's goodwill
Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance
Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Complete other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

Culinary Arts Degree, Certificate or Apprenticeship preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
One year related experience required
Must be able to obtain and maintain a West Virginia Greyhound Racing License
Must obtain an Ohio County Food Handlers Card

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and percentages

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking 100% of time in a fast paced and busy environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently

Environmental Working Conditions:

Exposure to 90-degree climate 100% of time
Exposure to secondhand smoke
Exposure to high volume noise
