KeyBank Center is Western New York’s premier sports and entertainment facility.  Primarily known as the home of the National Hockey League’s Buffalo Sabres, KeyBank Center also host the National Lacrosse League’s Buffalo Bandits, and the best concerts, ice shows, family and sporting events, entertaining audiences of all ages.  The facility holds approximately 18,500 seats.  Sportservice at the KeyBank Center is the premier foodservice provider.  The projected revenue is $14 million.

The Opportunity

Experience the thrill of the game by contributing to a positive guest experience to thousands of Sabres fans each game.  Our Commissary Porters are an essential part of the day to day operations at Buffalo Sportservice. Porters assist the commissary manager and supervisors in maintaining inventory and delivering product orders to various outlets in accordance with the Company's GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Service Standards.

Position Details

Responsibilities of a Commissary Day Porter include:

- Delivering food, beverage, and other products throughout the facility in an efficient and timely manner

- Stocking product in the commissary and ensuring inventory levels of supplies are maintained.

- Reporting all needed commissary repairs to the supervisor.

- Keeping work area and equipment neat and clean

- Cleaning food and beverage outlets as assigned

- Performing other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

We are seeking pleasant and courteous associates with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Applicants must be able to work well with others and must be available between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00 PM.  Must be able to read and interpret delivery forms and purchase orders.  Basic math skills are required for counting inventory.  Must be trained and certified to operate a forklift.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift / move/ maneuver up to 165lbs.

- Ability to pull heavy carts of stock throughout the facility

- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching throughout the entire length of the shift.

- This position operates in a warehouse environment, therefore noise level may be moderate to high.

- Associate may be exposed to outdoors and varying temperatures, including extreme hot and cold depending on the season.
