This is a supervisory position that is focused on providing exceptional guest service.  This person leads the concierge operation to ensure profitability and implementation of quality standards with the goal of total guest satisfaction.  The Lead Concierge is responsible for coordinating the guest experience from pre-arrival contact, booking and confirmation logistics, advice on local points of interest, through delivery of parcels, mail, and special items.  The Lead Concierge is additionally responsible for hiring/staffing, scheduling, performance management/evaluation, and training of Concierge staff. 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for creating and implementing the flow of information to guests about hotel services, features and room amenities, alongside answering questions, giving directions and making detailed reservations or recommendations.
  • Train staff on best practices for guest service and brand standard hospitality.
  • Build and manage itineraries.
  • Ensure employees are performing their daily tasks according to the Rock Resorts standards. 
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance, demeanor and ethics in dealing both with guests, co-workers and subordinates.
  • Responsible for ensuring our guests have the "inside edge" on dining and activities in the area, and ensuring the concierge team is set up to provide this service. 
  • Manage concierge schedule and payroll, doing so within budget and operational needs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with third party vendors and company department managers.
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years concierge experience in a property of similar size and quality - required.
  • Previous supervisory experience - required.
  • Must be able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer; LMS skills/experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills - required.
  • Resourceful, effective time management, and organizational skills - required.
