A successful Staff Accountant will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; and/or one to three years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting, business theory and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Able to identify non-value added tasks and eliminate without impairing processes
  • Strong customer service skills; friendly, approachable and motivated with a strong work ethic and high degree of integrity.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems or Hyperion a plus.

Looking for highly motivated individual to join our general ledger team.  The primary responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include, but are not limited to: 

  • As directed, provide assistance in creating, modifying, developing and documenting accounting systems.
  • Conduct thorough review of financial statements in a timely manner while providing strong analysis and variance explanations; apply inductive reasoning in problem assessment and resolution.
  • Assist in preparation for monthly close process, working to ensure that management has adequate and accurate information; includes, but not limited to, journal entry processes, analyzing and communicating results and submitting clear and concise support.
  • Routinely analyze and develop comparisons in month over month performance and work with supporting business partners to communicate this analysis.
  • Able to perform the steps required to complete all account reconciliations within functional area.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, managers, business partners, and field staff to obtain problem resolution, adding value to all interactions. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
