Tax Associate Accountant - Full-time

A successful Tax Associate Accountant will have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience; or combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in a fast-paced office environment. Candidate should have experience working with large amounts of data and excellent organizational skills. Experience with Vertex tax solutions is a plus.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and beginner MS Access skills.
• Must be a self-starter with an upbeat and positive attitude with the ability to multi-task.
• Critical thinking and a high degree of enthusiasm.

The Tax Associate Accountant will have the following primary responsibilities:

• Monitor indirect tax engines and billing systems for Purchasing Company
• Research, troubleshoot, and resolve subscriber tax billing issues in a timely manner
• Reviews and processes customer exemption certificates
• Gather and verify property tax data for Personal Property tax audits and provide support for audit and refund process
• Identify and implement improvements in efficiencies across the indirect tax department
• Other duties as assigned
