About this job

This position reports to the Reconciliation Supervisor and is responsible for support in account reconciliation and financial reporting for internal and external purposes. General ledger reporting as is related to cash, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, bad debt, NFS checks, Journal Entries, Accruals, cash over/short for all entities, assist with new products or projects as needed, Support third party vendors, Reconcile expenses to escrows with land lords (CAM Reconciliations), Lease and Utility Deposit reconciliations and perform other duties as assigned.
Support

  • Promote team environment and meet department goals.
  • Communicate issues, status, and accomplishments to Reconciliation Supervisor regarding areas of responsibility in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to management to assist in decision making.
  • Support the field and other departments including but not limited to Treasury and Loss Prevention.
Influence
  • Communicate necessary information, policies, and procedures with other areas of Accounting and IT to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements.
  • Communicate necessary information with the field personnel to ensure accuracy of the financial statements
Manage
  • Daily reconciliation of POS activity to actual bank items using reconciliation software.
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Monthly accruals
  • Third Party reconciliations
  • Land Lord (CAM) reconciliations
  • Assist and train new employees.
Maintain
  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Adhere to all points of the creed.

Equivalent Education Level Required: B.S. Degree in Accounting or other business related field or equivalent work experience.

Experience Required: Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.

Knowledge Required: Excellent verbal and written communications skills; adaptability and flexibility to high volume, fast-paced changing environment; ability to evaluate and apply information to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry/business and products; excellent computer skills including Excel; ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and have excellent organizational skills.

Physical Requirements: Sitting for long periods of time; standing occasionally; walking; bending; squatting; kneeling; pushing/pulling; reaching; twisting; frequent lifting of less than 10 lbs., occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs.; typing; data entry; grasping; transferring items between hands and/or to another person or receptacle; use of office equipment to include computers; ability to travel to, be physically present at, and complete the physical requirements of the position at any assigned location.
