CHP Hospice is currently accepting applications for the position of:PART-TIME COOK Qualified individual needed to operate the kitchen, prepare food, and maintain equipment and supplies to meet the nutritional needs of patients and families. Commercial kitchen experience a plus. Must be able to lift, bend & squat; have effective communications skills, caring, positive attitude, and neat appearance.  Community Health Professionals' Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center offers compassionate, specialized, skilled nursing care for terminally-ill patients with comfort and support services for family members. We are currently seeking Part-time Cook Our outstanding, staff delivers comfort at times when patients cannot be best cared for at home. We offer general patient care, residential care and respite care in a beautiful 12-bed, all-private-suites center designated exclusively for hospice care and designed with comfort and family needs in mind. SALARY:  Competitive HOURS:  Part-time LOCATION:  Positions available in Defiance Duties include:   • Prepare food according to daily menus and order food accordingly• Oversee the functions of the kitchen• Maintain equipment and supplies• Consult with dietitian to meet the nutritional needs of patients as needed• Consult with patient/family and staff regarding special dietary regimens and nutritional requirements• Use prudent judgment in discussion of patients, assuring confidentiality is maintained• Be committed to practice safety precautions MINIMUM APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS• Must be physically capable to bend, squat, lift• Must have effective communication skills• Proof of valid driver license and insurance for same• Must have positive attitude, which fosters a cooperative, positive atmosphere• Must be neat in appearance SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS• Qualified to operate commercial kitchen equipment• Commercial kitchen experience a plus WDRB.
