Develops new tools and processes to support TJX global supply chain goals and objectives. Gathers data to produce operational and financial analysis to include key performance indicator reporting for domestic logistics operations management. Works closely with divisional financial control and distribution services groups weekly, monthly and annual on key assumptions and domestic freight forecast drivers. Identifies opportunities through analysis of operational results, creating sustainable solutions and supporting key decision makers with global logistics and supply chain strategies.

Financial and Operational Planning and Analysis

Reports and analyzes actual domestic Logistics costs and key performance indicators. Performs routine variance analysis between planned and actual results and reports findings. Prepares and analyzes weekly, monthly, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.

Compiles and prepares reports, charts and graphs as developed. Recommends changes in financial analysis methods and procedures. Presents to domestic logistics operations management and divisional financial control groups weekly and monthly.

Provides adhoc Global Logistics cost analysis as required.

Operational Analysis / Process Improvement

Evaluates new opportunities for cost control and process improvement. Develops recommendations and solutions for process and system improvements. Supports process/ reporting development and special project initiatives as required. Develops, maintains and enhances forecasting tools for collaborative planning and volume forecasting models including, but not limited to, Global Logistics Operations Management, Steamship lines, Customs Broker and Logistics Service Providers.

SOX compliance

Participates in quarterly SOX compliance audit. Partners with logistic contract and freight payment team members to gather appropriate audit selections. Completes testing and accurately tracks exceptions as well as completion time. Communicates with Internal Audit quarterly on findings/results. Completes additional audits as requested.

Experience Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Financial Analyst role and Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or Accounting
  • MBA preferred or in progress of obtaining
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Ability to create complex financial models to permit “what-if” analysis
  • Strong Forecasting and Analytical experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Domestic Logistics / Transportation Knowledge is a plus
