Claims Specialist

Position: Claims Specialist

Location: Aurora, CO

Start Date: Monday, October 23rd

Pay: $13.94 per hour

Hours:

• First 3 weeks are paid training: Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm
• You will get your normal schedule in the 4th week. Must be available between 6am-6pm Monday through Saturday, but will only work 40 hours per week.
• If you are required to work a Saturday shift, you will work a 4-hour shift. Then you will have four, 9-hour shifts during the week to equate to a 40-hour work week.

Summary:

• The Inbound Claims Specialist answers calls on claims that are already in process. The Specialist is responsible for authorizing payment on claims by researching and resolving unresolved issues with both contractors and homeowners.
• Claims Specialists will be working on the systems and appliances side of the business - claims will mostly be about HVAC systems and other home appliances.
• Research, analyze, and make coverage determinations regarding warranty obligations
• Inform homeowners and contractors about coverage determinations
• Document all interactions in a written manner using internal systems

Requirements:

• GED or diploma required
• Customer service experience - call center preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills
• Restaurant or retail backgrounds do very well as long as you are comfortable transitioning to a call center environment
