Must haves:
- 2+ years of purchasing experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ months of Oil & Gas or industrial experience
This person will provide overall strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement for Supply Chain's Total Life Cycle Cost Management initiatives. These encompass procurement, delivery, storage, and disposition of materials, equipment, and services for operations, maintenance, and capital projects for the Oil & Gas team in Canonsburg, PA.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:
- Leads innovative and creative cross functional teams to develop and drive cost competitive procurement strategies
- Work with company procurement processes to ensure quality, cost effectiveness, and delivery from company's supplier business partners
- The ability to work with internal and external alliances and partnerships with customers and suppliers to drive cost reduction, process improvement, and best practices.
- Study market trends, conducts and applies benchmarking and competitive assessments and promote industry standards
- Maximize assets and inventory investments
- Mentor team of buyers and associate buyers
- Monitory supplier performance as demonstrated in reporting from the Supplier Evaluation System and acts proactively on data.
- Ability to use SAP or similar software
- Provide great customer service and meet deadlines
