CMM Programmer/Supervisor

Job description:
The metrology supervisor will be in charge of the metrology lab. The will be supervising one technician (the department will consist of 2 people) they will be the main person in this department and need to be comfortable holding multiple responsibilities. Responsibilities will include:
Creating the schedule
Maintain the schedule
Interaction with the customer
Train others inside and outside of the department on use of the machines, instruments and practices
They will have a good understanding of how to read blue prints and 3d cad models
Leadership is very important in this role, they are really looking for someone who is confident in their role and can take charge in the department
Must have a very high sense of urgency
Will be using Microsoft office on a regular basis (need to be strong in excel)
Strong knowledge of gd&t
Will be doing calibrations and validations in the department when needed
Will be lifting 10 lbs on a consistent basis occasionally 60 lbs
Currently they are working 50 hr standard work weeks plus Saturdays until the launch is over. After the launch the schedule will be 45 hr - 50 hrs a week. THEY NEED TO BE COMFORATBLE BEING ON CALL AT ALL HOURS.
Break down of the day - 5% scheduling, 70% programming and scanning, 5% using other quality measurement tools, 20% supervision
10% or less travel a year

Must:
5+ years' experience in metrology or CMM (if non degreed associates or bachelors they will need 10 years' experience)
2+ years' experience in supervision and scheduling ideally, 1+ year minimum if they candidate has proven ability
Come from a production environment
Romer arm, farrow experience or other applicable experience
Pcdemis or coreview experience
Strong excel skills

Plus:
Automotive experience
Blue light scanner (qflash)
Torque experience

Disqualifiers:
Less than 5 years' experience
If they do not come from a production environment (candidates that have worked solely in lab will not work)


Educational / Training Requirements:
* 2 year college degree in a related field.
Related Work Experience.
