This is an intermediate/senior level position to lead the development and sustain a data quality practice at Kroger. The candidate requires background utilizing data quality software tool and processes to incorporate data quality best practices during application development and rollout. The applicant needs experience monitoring, measuring and reporting on data quality metrics. Strong communication skills are needs to market and educate the value of data quality to technical leadership and developers. Specific technical skills are: •Experience with Informatica's IDQ tools.•Strong experience and expertise with SQL. •Experience with Relational Databases.•Understand Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.•Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in coordinating multiple tasks in a work/project environment. •Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal competencies along with detail-oriented and problem solving skills in the technology arena.

 

Responsible for reviewing requests for data and data usage; and ensures a data design that delivers consistent data usage, follows the data principles, andfurthers the strategic vision. The Data Architect partners with the appropriate teams to ensure consistency. Role model and demonstrate the company's corevalues of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Assist in the implementation of the data management strategy to support the business goals.
  • Work with appropriate team members to ensure data deliverables are complete and the design supports the strategic data vision.
  • Assess emerging technologies, and make appropriate recommendations based on business needs.
  • Facilitate and document the agreements on appropriate data and its usage.
  • Ensure all components are properly integrated and implemented.
  • Educate end-users on the value of data and its associated attributes.
  • Provide support and verify quality through all stages of implementation.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • 6 - 8 years of professional experience in: information management initiatives, delivering large-scale complex systems solutions, or support and/orengineering for the specific technical discipline: security, database, network, collaboration, desktop, storage, backup / recovery, mainframeplatforms, UNIX platforms, AS/400 platforms, Windows platforms, web engineering, Citrix, directory services, and integration (EAI, batch and real timesolutions).
  • Collaborative problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate information to customers and to all levels within theorganization.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments concurrently while maintaining high levels of quality and effectiveness.
  • Ability to effectively mentor and coach related to system component interdependence.
  • Experience with application and/or infrastructure technologies commonly leveraged to support large-scale, multi-platform enterprise environments anddistributed systems across diverse domestic geographies.
  • Effective facilitator of technical decisions.
  • Knowledge of multiple architecture styles and their implications
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in IS or related equivalent work experience in an Information Systems position.
  • 2 - 4 years in a Technology Architect position.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic implementations.
  • In-depth knowledge of the following concepts: Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, Services Oriented Architecture, Enterprise ContentManagement
  • Ability to think in the abstract, with the ability to understand multiple facets of complex technologies.
  • Experience in an application domain with an architectural understanding
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture processes for technology portfolio management and project governance, including technology selections and peerreview.
