Sr. Analyst, Marketing Analytics

The Sr. Analyst position is part of the team working to provide meaningful analytics around member and store performance to support targeted and non-targeted marketing offers.
  • Performs disciplined and detailed reporting and analysis of customer data that enables SHC to grow, engage, and retain its diverse customer base across all formats.
  • Acts as a champion of data driven insights on marketing campaign performance and customer behavior
  • Helps with portal design, QA, and education of business partners.

As a Sr. Analyst in the SYW Marketing Analytics, you will support various strategic initiatives across the organization including rigorous assessment of longitudinal member, store, and online performance, Merchandizing/Inventory, Pricing, and other functions. We are looking for a Sr. Analyst to contribute to member-centric strategy formulation and execution, and to use member data to drive significant growth for SHC businesses. The role will also have an emphasis on processes and system solutions to identify member behavior patterns and use these insights to drive decisions to improve member experience. The breadth of projects will span Sears, Kmart, ShopYourWay and our online Marketplace.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage data and provide analytics support for key targeted marketing initiatives
  • Use analytical methods to drive targeted and non-targeted promotional activities across various channels and member touch-points
  • Understand operational challenges and provide baseline key performance metrics
  • Contribute to design of experiments allowing SHC to actively test into a new operating model
  • Set up on-going reporting and tracking dashboards to continuously monitor impact
  • Communicates findings and recommendations to leadership and works in an advisory capacity to implement recommendations
  • Execute analytics projects within aggressive timelines

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree in engineering/computer science/economics or related field preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Mathematic, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 0-2 years of experience performing financial analysis, marketing mix modeling, strategy consulting, and marketing analytics
  • Ability to apply analytical rigor to complex business issues and translates customer insights into financially viable retail initiatives
  • Action and results driven
  • Highly skilled in problem solving and able to convey key initiatives to senior-level management
  • Ability to clearly communicate with and persuasively present to a wide variety of audiences
  • Exceptional written communication
  • Able to work independently but understands when to seek support
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of financial calculations and accounting principles.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel (required), SQL (Teradata and BigQuery required), Tableau (required), plus working knowledge of Oracle Smartview, Looker, Python, Java, Microsoft Access, Database Management, and Google Cloud Platform a plus
