The Opportunity

POSITION SUMMARY

Welcome and accommodate guests and staff in an effective and courteous manner. Provides guest services including but not limited to timely delivery and pickup of guest’s luggage to and from rooms. Provides guest services at the hotel so each staff member and guest experiences a positive impression of the facility. Parks and retrieves guest’s vehicles. Works in conjunction with all guest service employees. Works with any hotel guests who require or request hospitality services.   

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Create special experiences one guest at a time.
  • Follow all Delaware North Parks and Resorts Environmental GreenPath, GuestPath, OSS, SERV, Code of Conduct, Core Values, Policies and Procedures. 
  • Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, vehicles, or transportation terminals, by hand or using baggage carts. 
  • Greet incoming guests and escort them to their rooms. 
  • Supply guests or travelers with directions, travel information, and other information, such as available services and points of interest. 
  • Explain the operation of room features, such as locks, ventilation systems, and televisions. 
  • Pick up and return items for laundry and valet service. 
  • Lifting and carrying luggage weighing 50 or more pounds. 
  • Park and retrieve guest’s vehicles.   

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures. 
  • Energetic - Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work. 
  • Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. 
  • Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. 
  • Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. 
  • Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.   

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES 

Education:           High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Experience:         No prior experience necessary

Certifications &

Licenses:              Must have a valid California Driver’s License
