Manager - Competition Services - Winter Seasonal - Keystone Resort - Full-time / Part-time

The manager of competition services is responsible for developing and executing on all elements of Special Events and Competitions at Keystone. This position will be responsible for creating and collaborating on long range event plans, will overseeing the day to day operations of the Competitions Department, and work in partnership with various stakeholders to deliver on results that align with strategic operational and marketing goals.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Hires, trains, schedules and manages performance of department staff to meet the goals of this department.
• Manage capital projects to be completed in timely fashion and within budget.
• Oversees operation of Epic Racing at Keystone.
• Participate in event planning. Provide coordination and operational support for marketing events and public relations requests, including National Televised Competitions/Events
• Coordinate on mountain events, including alpine racing, freestyle and big mountain events. Coordinates training activities and hill space allocations with mountain operations and ski clubs. 

• Execute contracts with third parties in accordance with company legal standards  
• Lead and collaborate in event planning and project management. 
• Provide coordination and operational support to internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and execute on mountain events, including alpine racing, freestyle events and big mountain.
• Coordinates training activities and hill space allocations with mountain operations.
• Manage safety and guest service expectations with all operations in department, including but not limited to; snowmobile use, venue set up and tear down, use of tools and equipment, event course safety.

• Manage the EpicMix Racing Operation to align with company best practices and compliance

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma - required
• College Degree - preferred
• Expert level skier- required
• 2+ years of supervisory experience - required
• Valid Driver's License - required
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office / MS Outlook
• Previous experience executing events - required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills - required

• High degree of organization, attention to detail and level of professional conduct. Self-starter, ambitious and multi-tasker. - required
• Experience with timing racing events, timing software, and production of competition results. - preferred
• Prior resort operations experience - preferred
• Previous snowmobile operation experience - preferred
