The guest service parking lot attendant is responsible for carrying out daily operations in the BC lower parking lots.  Provide exceptional guest service for the resort that includes greeting our guests and educating our guests about the resort while directing them to the appropriate place to park.  Monitor and control the parking lots while keeping traffic flowing.  Assist guests using the automated parking entry / exit system.  Process cash payments, reconcile balances, and perform opening / closing duties.  Must have the ability to handle all customer complaints at a higher level.

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

•Provide exceptional guest service while conducting daily operations in the BC lower parking lots.
•Greet and welcome guests while assisting them in a variety of capacities, including giving general directions and resort information.
•Handle higher level guest complaints and issues.
•Direct vehicles where to park and maximize the available space, while keeping traffic flowing.
•Learn the automated parking entry / exit system, be able to assist guests with its operation, and solve the simpler problems if the system

malfunctions.
•Process all cash payments, including collecting the cash, reconciling the balances, and performing opening / closing duties.  Maintain all SOX

compliance.
•Assist with carrying guest’s equipment when requested.
•Assist with all company policies within the department and the company.
•Serve as a resource to colleagues with less experience.

 

Requirements:

•High School diploma or equivalent
•Fluent in English
•Must be able to stand outside for long periods of time in adverse weather conditions
•Must be able to walk on icy and snow covered parking lots while paying attention to safety
•Able to lift 50 lbs. ( ski equipment, signs, traffic cones )
•Able to use arms in fast motion to direct cars
•Excellent guest service skills
•Strong communication skills and the ability to approach guests in an enthusiastic, courteous, and helpful manner
•Able to problem solve efficiently
•Team player
•Flexible schedule
•Cash handling experience is a plus
•Knowledge of Beaver Creek and surrounding area is a plus
•End of season commitment ( April 2018 )
