Our Group Sales Specialist role contains the rare opportunity to work for two industry leaders – Vail Resorts and Hilton Hotels.  Grow your career within two companies at the same time, and enjoy the perks and benefits within both companies as well!  The Group Sales Specialist is responsible for the overall achievement of their  group room nights and revenue budget, in additon to selling all other resort lines of business (lift tickets, retail, ski school, activities, etc.).  This position will report to the Associate Director of Sales, will be required to have close communication with the Conference Services team, Revenue Management, and the resort managers across varying lines of business.   

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. 
  • Work closely with Canyons Village sales team to develop successful sales tactics that insure the entire team achieves business goals. 
  • Travel as needed and represent the property and resort at trade shows, sales calls, and FAMS, etc.
  • Create sales action plan to maximize selling profitability.
  • Participate in sales calls and prospect for repeat and incremental business year round.
  • Participate with Vail Resorts Regional team to insure Resort involvement and maximize sales potential.
  • Maintain and create key accounts for assigned market segment, provide weekly and trip sales reports, work with operations to provide guest “Experience of a Lifetime.”
  • Work with clients/accounts year round, host and sponsor events to foster and close sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accuracy and up to date account data and reporting using account management system (Salesforce).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • College Degree – preferred.
  • At least five years of hospitality and/or ski industry experience – preferred.
  • At least two years of sales experience – required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite skills & knowledge – required.
  • Delphi and Hilton OnQ experience – preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills – required.
  • Ski/Snowboard ability – preferred.
