A successful Product Owner will have BA/BS in a technical or business discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or accounting) and 2-5 years of Product Owner, Product Manager, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Project Manager or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAFe agile process.
• Experience with JIRA and/or other agile tools
• Exceptional communication and documentation skills
• Subject Matter Expert for major products or initiatives
• Experience with driving projects with multiple cross-functional teams and customers
• Previous experience with satellite-TV products or online video streaming

Dish Technologies, in American Fork, UT, is hiring a Product Owner for the Sling TV team.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the product management team, developers, and external groups to take features and create succinct user stories with applicable acceptance criteria.
• Responsible for estimating stories with developers and translating into team’s velocity.
• Work closely with various teams in order to make sure dependencies are defined and implemented.
• Work with lead developers in order to create technical debt/enabler stories in the appropriate iterations.
• Know when and how to effectively communicate project issues to the appropriate parties.
• Coordinating efforts between the product management, development, and QA teams in order to keep releases on track.
• Scheduling and driving meetings with cross-functional teams will be a regular responsibility. 
• Manage other large-scale software implementation projects with internal and external groups.
