Machine Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Position Summary
Set up, operate or tend welding machines or robots to treat metals and alloys. Follow quality control requirements for high strength, pressure and aesthetics.
Essential Job Functions
o Perform process evaluation by completing forms prior to shift or operating machines.
o Assemble, align and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
o Load workpieces into welding machines.
o Start, monitor, and adjust robotic welding productions lines.
o Turn and press buttons to start welding machines.
o Install appropriate electrode size and type, tips , and welding rod or wire.
o Remove part from welding machines and place final products into containers.
o Record operations information on specified production reports.
o Test and visually inspect completed workpieces for defects or quality issues, using leak tests.
o Use hand tools, such as hammers, chisels, wrenches, and wire cutters.
o Notify maintenance or Team Leader to correct problems with machine operation.
o Follow written instructions from quality control to ensure conformance with specifications.
o Notify quality control of any defective parts
o Follow standard work instructions.
Requirements
o Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with positions, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
o Must be willing to cross train
o Must be able to work required overtime
o Must comply with attendance and punctuality policy
o Must be able to lift 10 to 15 lbs. continuously
