Associate Dean, School of Business The Associate Dean has responsibility for assisting the Dean in
carrying out administrative and academic functions related to the
operation of the School of Business in areas such as curricular
development, program and student assessment and faculty support.
The Associate Dean has primary responsibility for management and
on-going coordination of both AACSB (Association to Advance
Collegiate Schools of Business) international accreditation and
MSCHE (Middle States Commission on Higher Education) accreditation
as well as ensuring timely data submission to relevant ranking
agencies such as U.S. News and World Report, The Princeton
Review and The Philadelphia Business Journal. A
detailed understanding of AACSB International accreditation and
processes is expected as well as a detailed understanding of
assurance of learning and assessment. Program Directors will work
closely with the Associate Dean. The Associate Dean must possess
effective communication and facilitation skills which includes
collegial and respectful collaboration with others. The Associate
Dean will perform other related duties and complete special
projects as assigned by the Dean including attending some vents in
the evenings or weekends.
Essential Duties:
Assist the Dean, faculty, and administrative staff in
supporting the mission of La Salle University and the School of
Business including building a culture of excellence and respect
that incorporates innovation, engagement, and service.
Manage and coordinate ongoing AACSB International
accreditation-related activities including data collection,
analysis, and report writing.
Manage both AACSB and MSCHE (Middle States Commission on Higher
Education) standards related to department and program-level
assurance of learning (assessment) and curriculum development
processes in coordination with faculty committees.
Ensure the timely data preparation and submission to relevant
ranking agencies (such as U.S. News and World Report , The
Princeton Review and The Philadelphia Business Journal)
Manage part-time faculty
Coordinate with the Dean, staff, and faculty to achieve
strategic goals including increased retention rates in both
undergraduate and graduate programs.
Periodically review the School's website to ensure that all of
the programs and information is accurate and current; coordinate
with University Communications to ensure appropriate changes.
Perform other related duties and complete special projects as
assigned by the Dean including attending some events in the
evenings or on weekends.
Represent the School of Business at various committee meetings
and provide a summary for the Dean.
Assist the Dean and Chairs in organizing and managing faculty
searches.
Support student curricular and co-curricular activities.
