Position Summary

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment? The role of Pharmacy Technician, presents you with the opportunity to work in such an environment as you will be responsible for picking, labeling, and otherwise preparing the finished prescription, as well as other light warehouse duties.


Schedule: Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm; Every other weekend, rotating holidays


Primary Responsibilities
In this position you will

  • Prep for the day, including setting up totes
  • Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
  • Review facility pre-list and prepare 30 day cards with the appropriate drug for the full fill.
  • Assist in monthly fills by delivering and exchanging medications to scheduled nursing home.
  • You assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications, label, and store, as needed during low volume times.
  • Package materials and products manually
  • Receive packing orders and pull items to be delivered from order sheets
  • Determine that the correct packing materials are available at packing stations
  • Check packing lists for accuracy
  • Ship UPS orders
  • Apply labels, and stack boxes according to directions
  • Coordinate STAT deliveries Keep record of departure times and items packed and attach record to the order
  • Diligently follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.

Required Qualifications:
  • Earned a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Maryland pharmacy technician license


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Your professional or academic history includes previous pharmacy technician experience.
  • You have 0-6 months working experience


Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
