Responsibilities: To provide and assist with the direct care of the elderly resident. To assist with activities of daily living, promoting the highest practicable level of physical, mental and psychosocial well being. To have a working awareness of state and federal regulations. Responsible to provide direct care duties in a timely manner, interact politely and professionally with Health Center residents, family members, visitors, and staff. Float to other areas of Charter House.

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED.

Additional Qualifications: Previous experience with the geriatric population is preferred. Must be able to work independently. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff. Strong problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works varied hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off.

License or Certification: Nursing Assistant Certification required and must be listed on the MN Nursing Assistant Registry.

Exemption Status: Non-exempt

Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $12.68 per hour.

Schedule Details: Supplemental scheduling is based on availability of staff and hours available. It is required that supplemental staff have availability for at least 4 shifts per month. These shifts are assigned based on supplemental staff availability. Hours are dependent on availability and flexibility for scheduling, up to 40 hours per week. Supplemental staff have opportunities to work on all shifts.

Weekend Schedule: Supplemental staff must provide with availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
