REQUIREMENTS

This is a position interviewing and/or determining eligibility of person's applying to receive assistance from government programs and agency resources. such as public health and social services programs. The incumbent will facilitate all front office responsibilities which include but are not limited to: Client scheduling. check-in and Verification of Eligibility. answering multi-line phones, customer service. scheduling client appointments, verifying insurance coverage, verifying eligibility requirements. triage patients and phone calls as needed. making reminder calls at least one day prior to appointments. ensure HIPPA is on file for every client along with all other documentation required in file: data entry into HMS, update all information on clients as needed. follow DOH general chart preparation for dental services including but not limited to proper placement of all required documentation in file. maintain the main Excel data base for all clients to ensure visits are scheduled timely. verification of parent/guardianship of all minors and monitoring the waiting room. All responsibilities assigned to the front desk and all tasks associated with ensuring the clinic runs smoothly.

Must have a minimum of two years working knowledge of Microsoft Office (within the last 5 years). Must have one year of office experience (within the last 5 years). Must have at least one year "face to face" experience (within the last 5 years). Must be willing to accept this position with a starting salary between $20,734.74 - $23,254.56.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent, an employee of the Florida Department of Health in Putnam County, works to protect, promote and improve the health of all people in Florida through integrated state, county and community efforts. The incumbent is expected to promote innovation by searching for creative solutions and managing resources wisely. This position is an interviewing clerk for the DOH-Putnam Dental Program.

Front Desk: Answer phones, assist clients coming in, scheduling of appointments, verification of insurance coverages and eligibility requirements, checking in clients for visits, reminder appointment, reminder appointment calls/notices, maintain and update all client demographic information at each visit/phone call, ensure proper billing encounter forms are used for each visit, verification of parent/guardianship with clients under age, front end billing requirements as set forth by PCHD policy, maintain office supplies at reasonable usage levels, ensure information in HMS matches information in Peterson software as appropriate, pull reports as requested with regards to the Dental Office client stats, notification to clients who miss appointments and other tasks as needed to ensure clinic flow efficiency is maintained at a high level.

Medical records processing. Keep up to date with purging/scanning dates set forth by DOH policies.

Completes time sheets, EARS and leave requests accurately and promptly.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.
