Placement and Duration: The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program, open to rising sophomores or juniors that will allow the candidate to gain exposure to Morgan Stanley Investment Management's Equity Trading Platform. Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst. This program is not part of the general MS Summer Internship Program, as candidates are not open to a full time offer once the program is complete.

Training Program: Morgan Stanley Investment Management's training program consists of curriculum designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need in order to be successful in IM. The program is one week long and includes a Firm-wide orientation, business overviews, professional development, technical training and networking events. A speaker series is also a part of training, and is run throughout the duration of the program.

Global Equity Trading Group Description: The Global Equity Trading Group handles trade execution of equities, derivatives, and FX for various Portfolio Management Teams within the firm.

Role Description: MISM is looking for Summer Analysts to support its trading desk by:

* Analyze transactional costs to assist in the implementation of a best execution policy

* Support trading teams with various clerical duties

* Running various daily and ad hoc reports to assist senior management in making decisions

* Responding via phone/email to support requests from management

* Engage and interact with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Technology Departments

Required Skills:

* Current Sophomore or Junior in a 4 year bachelor's degree program with superior academic performance

* Demonstrated interest in global financial markets

* Ability to handle multiple assignments at once and meet associated deadlines

* Superior attention to detail

* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

* Previous experience in financial services industry preferred
