MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform regular maintenance on equipment.
Diagnose problems with malfunctioning equipment
Make sure that equipment is functioning according to Safety regulations.
Detect and repair defective parts and/or materials.
Do painting, HVAC when necessary.
Complete shift reports to communicate with other technicians.
Work with other technicians to solve multifaceted problems.
Complete daily rounds along with check off sheets.
Manually repair tools as needed.
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards

Supportive Duties
Support other departments such as but not limited to ensuring smooth standard operation procedures by completing periodic maintenance operations of all production machinery and equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that all company safety policies and procedures are followed.
Report any accidents and near misses to immediate manager/supervisor in a timely manner.
May be required to assist and rotate to other plant personnel positions in daily duties
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

At least 2 year work experience in any fields
Basic Excel Skills
An active Driver?s License
Ability to work alternating shifts (weekend)
Appropriate Certifications for the equipment in use.
Great problem solving skills.
Strong knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices.
Knowledge of safety requirements for the appropriate equipment.
High school diploma or equivalents.

Attention to Detail: Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
Communication: Ability to effectively communicate and follow production, safety and chemical procedures and guidelines

Lines of Communication
Maintenance Technician will report to Facility Manager
Working Conditions
Position is full time, Monday through Friday.
Position requires mandatory overtime and work on Saturdays.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of the employee encounter while performing the essential and supportive functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly near moving mechanical parts. Also, working under extremely hygienic, high humidity, cold or hot conditions on slippery floor. Job duties require work to be performed in the storage freezer of temperature, minus 30F.
