Youth Ministry Coordinator

First Congregational United Church of Christ 310 Broadway St., Eau Claire, WI 54703 715-834-2668 www.firstucceauclaire.org  First Congregational United Church of Christ, Eau Claire, a growing congregation of 550 members, seeks a part-time (15 hours per week) Youth Ministry Coordinator. The Youth Ministry Coordinator is central in First Congregational United Church of Christ's ministry to families with teens and young adults. This individual is responsible for staffing youth fellowship programs; assisting in developing curriculum; coordinating service opportunities, schedules and volunteers; developing relationships with students; and providing steady communication. Desired skills: Desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with families and youth of First Congregational UCC and live the values of acceptance and hospitality valued by the United Church of Christ. Four-year degree in education or related field, and/or minimum of one year of demonstrated experience in relational work, education, sports mentors, small group leadership, etc. Skills and excitement for working at appropriate development levels for middle school and high school youth. Interest and experience in using current technology, including the ethics of using social media. Ability to communicate youth ministry goals to youth and families, complete assignments and make contacts. Ability to secure and supervise program volunteers, and train/support youth leaders and volunteers.
