About this job

WHO YOU ARE:

Someone who directs/manages overall daily operations of the preschool with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Fully implement the Creative Curriculum to prepare youth for success. Guide children’s behavior and support holistic development.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are clean, sanitary, and maintained.
  • Monitor daily license ratios and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain staff and child files in accordance with licensing requirement to ensure successful licensing inspections.
  • Monitor staff training requirements to make sure they are met. Accesses teaching resources as needed for professional development.
  • Create, monitor and update site budget.
  • Compile regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance and participation.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.
  • Maintain working relationship with the school and their staff.
  • Purchase or approve purchase of supplies and equipment.
  • Work with staff on special events and fundraising events.
  • Exercise authority in problems relating to members and staff; utilize guidance and discipline plan. Ability to train, supervise, and motivate staff.
  • Maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff to interpret and explain organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide/receive information.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Director Credential with VPK endorsement
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification
  • Previous experience as a Preschool Director
  • Must work as a member of a professional team
  • Flexible, patient and professional
  • Creative and enthusiastic
