James Madison University Desktop Services Technician S1097 James Madison University s Information Technology is seeking a highly motivated, part-time computer technician to join the Desktop Services Team in supporting the university s computer user community. The Technician will be responsible for performing setup and installation for desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices; creating and maintaining documentation; creating and deploying computer images; assisting with researching and testing software and emerging technologies. The successful candidate must possess demonstrated experience with PC and Macintosh software and hardware. The abilities to work effectively within a team environment and communicate well verbally and in writing are essential. A college degree or comparable experience in a related field is preferred.
