Driving Instructors Driving Instructors teach students how to drive vehicles and assist them throughout the process of acquiring a driver's license. Responsibilities include: teaching driving theory, explaining driving techniques, coordinating examinations, offering advice, and monitoring student progress. About the School The Howell Driving School has been serving the Central New Jersey Area since 1963. We offer a Defensive Driving Course that is approved by the Division of Motor Vehicles and The Driving School Association of New Jersey. This 6 hour course entitles you to a 2-point reduction on your Motor Vehicle record as well as a discount in insurance premiums. Our Instructors Howell Driving School Instructors are State Certified, fingerprinted and bonded by the State as well as the FBI. Background checks are conducted on a yearly basis. We pride ourselves with the care that is given to each individual student. Our instructors are mature and patient with careful consideration given to nervous drivers. Our staff includes male and female instructors. Applicants must have good, clean driving record and pass a criminal background check.
