Job Description:

Candidate will be working in the laboratory at the R&D facility along side Senior Chemist. Due to this being an R&D lab it is very project based which requires flexibility and adaptability as new projects come in.

Candidates will be dealing with a material and testing products using basic chemistry and physical testing techniques as well as analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, DSC/TG, SEM, XRD, XRF, TMA, and mechanical testing (MTS/Instron).


This position is supporting execution of a development project on novel thermoset polymer composite for building product application, and performance evaluation of various polymer composite materials through hands on laboratory studies in both standard operations and developmental research.

Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, and/or materials science related field
Experience with Polymer Chemistry is a MUST (Thermoset Polymer Synthesis is preferred)
Experience with analytical instruments (HPLC, GC-MS, FTIR, DSC/TG, SEM, XRD, XRF, TMA, etc), mechanical testing (MTS/Instron), and other laboratory techniques are preferred.
