Drafter

Aerotek is currently supporting a large manufacturer in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina and there is an open position of a contract designer/drafter.

Our client is launching a redesign of their assembly area to fit their current production on a smaller foot print, their goal is reduce the number of stages for their current production to reduce the overall assembly process time and to free some square footage to add another line of production.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design of our current assembly platform with inventory of all energy and mapping (outlet. duct, wiring, vacuum line…)
• Taken the concept design of the new assembly to work to all the details, (access stair, office location, energy supply, line winch , …)
• Design a step by step process to go from current layout to future layout to be the least disruptive with production
• Work with subcontractor to quote the work
• Follow implementation

Qualifications:

• +2 years in CAD designing/drafter within manufacturing facilities
• Proficient with using CAD Packages (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
• Ability to re-design manufacturing processes from start to finish (cradle to grave)
• Ability to utilize AutoCAD and Solidworks from day 1
