RN or LPN: HEDIS Abstractor - Full-time / Part-time

We are hiring for a long-term position with a growing insurance company in the Charleston area. Company offer excellent benefits and very competitive pay. They are looking for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with HEDIS experience or other similar types of data abstraction experience.

• Review and integrate medical information from diverse sources including medical records, immunization registries and provider offices
• Reviews medical records and abstracts data for HEDIS measures with minimum 95% accuracy
• Participates in all HEDIS/MRR abstraction training and testing regarding specification standards
• Document abstraction findings as required and prepare additional reports as needed
• Communicate all project issues including scheduling, assignment, fax/mail correspondence, and supervisor alerts in a timely manner

• Make outbound calls to physician offices to get medical records and put them in a database for review
