Aerotek is currently seeking experienced Software Engineers to support a multi-year contract opportunity with one of our Defense clients.

This engineer will design and develop application level C++ based embedded software for Programmable Waveform Radio Communication Products. Looking for support for a communications group (non-cleared), as well as an Electronic Warfare group (cleared).

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • 7+ years of hands on experience designing software in C++ for embedded environments
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, RF and radio communication protocols
  • Experience with the full software development life-cycle (requirements analysis, architecture and design documentation, etc.)

Preferred skills include:

  • Experience with unit testing
  • Knowledge of the Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT) waveform is a plus
  • Knowledge of the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (COBRA) standard is a plus
  • Experience with ARM based processors is a plus
  • Experience with real-time operating systems is a plus

Eligibility for a clearance is required! A current security clearance is of significant benefit but not required.
