Machinist - Full-time / Part-time

Machinist are responsible for programming, setting up, and operating a CNC MTE Boring mill. Machinist will perform from 1-6 setups a day max. They are mostly just working with large steel parts. The lead machinist currently works on first shift. He programs the machine and runs the parts. The 2nd shift machinist needs to be able to come in and pick up where the first shift machinist left off. They will be responsible for performing the necessary programming edits. The controls are Heidnhiem. The 2nd shift machinist will perform all of his own setups, tool changes, and quality checks. They will use micrometers and calipers to check parts. Most of the parts they are running are one off. Work Environment: Job Shop environment. The MTE Boring Mill is brand new. There are a lot of other manual mills in the shop as well. Not a clean environment but at the same time it is not extremely dirty either. Standard Job Shop Qualifications: Qualifications:
-Fanuc or Heidnheim Controls experience
-Boring Mil or MTE boring Mill experience
-Proficient with Micrometers and Calipers
-Able to edit conversational programs
-Ability to setup and operate CNC MIlls or Lathes in a job shop ob Shop environment
