About this job
In this position you will be responsible to install, configure, test and most importantly, integrate platforms with major mobile operators and technology companies. The end product you will be doing the testing for is the embedded hardware for phones. You will need to you your previous experience on Unix based systems, databases, programming/scripting and networking, to make sure our client fulfills their customer's expectations according to individual orders.
In this position you will be responsible to install, configure, test and most importantly, integrate our clients platforms with major mobile operators and technology companies. This person does not need C++ software background to be a fit for this role however they need someone who has done testing for embedded software not application layer.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical discipline
- Experience with testing methodology, equipment, and software tools preferred
- Knowledge of programming language or scripting required , C++ is ideal but not required
- Experience developing test cases and scripts for embedded software
- Previous experience on Unix based systems, databases, programming/scripting and networking
Candidates who are not a fit:
- Software engineers who have only done unit testing but have never been primary testers before.
- Testers who have never coded at all in their career. We need a previous coder who has primary been in a testing role
