About this job
Job Duties:
- Assists in the preparation and ongoing implementations of environmental, health, and safety programs.
- Communicates with safety manger and assigned unit managers regularly to provide status information.
- Assists with incident investigations to identify root causes and to determine how future incidents can be avoided.
- Remains familiar and current with local laws and regulations (OSHA/CAL-OSHA).
- Reviews incident, near-miss, and other safety reports for quality assurance prior to submittal to client and company leadership.
- Mentors and provides guidance to safety specialists to strengthen work performance.
- Actively participates in EHS meetings.
- Assists with ongoing implementation as a staff liaison to mitigate "at risk behaviors".
Must have:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills necessary to be effective with a wide range of personnel.
- Customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to translate complete system functionality into easy to understand guidance.
- General knowledge of the oil and gas industry.
Education:
- AS/BS, or in progress of, College Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or 4 years in related work experience.
- Working knowledge of State, Federal, DOT, EPA and Fed-OSHA/Cal-
