Job Description:
Aerotek has multiple clients in Howard county, PG county, and Anne Arundel county looking for Diesel Mechanics for multiple openings.
The Diesel mechanic will be responsible for the following: Working on a fleet of 28 trucks Doing all preventative maintenance on straight trucks and box trucks. Troubleshoot and diagnose any major issues and make repairs accordingly. Oder parts needed for repairs. M-F 1st shift
Work Environment:
The mechanic will be working on site at the Beltsville location. It is a shop with 3 bay doors and some tool boxes. There are fans but it is not climate controlled. working independently to complete work orders.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years working on diesel trucks - Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues - Experience with PMs on a fleet of vehicles - CDL licenses would be preferred so that this person can move trucks - Someone out of the military would be perfect
Performance Expectations:
This mechanic will not receive training and will be expected to come in and start knocking out PMs and repairs as needed. No metrics but expected to know how to fix things.
Additional Compensation:
1.5 OT and opportunity to capitalize on a lot of overtime hours!! 50-55hrs a week
