CNC Machinist

Job Description: CNC Machinist will work in the machine shop and perform set up, tooling adjustments and changeovers, and fixturing along with running and operating 3 and 5 axis CNC Milling Machines. They will also perform all of their own quality checks. Once trained will eventually run 2-3 machines at a time depending on department.

All programming is done off line and they utilize Del Cam Programming. Use Heidenhain and Fanuc Controls depending on machines and department.

Will work in either Heat Treat Department or Finishing Department depending on level of experience and skill.

Work Environment: Climate controlled machine shop environment which includes 30 CNC Milling Machines. Currently they have about 40 CNC Machinists and they run dayshift, night shift and weekend shift.

Qualifications: The qualified candidate will have the following:

*Minimum 2-3 years experience running and operating CNC Milling machines
*Minimum 2-3 years of performing set ups, tooling changeovers and adjustments and fixturing on CNC milling machines
*Experience running and operating 3axis and/or 5 axis CNC Machinery
*Minimum 2-3 years of experience performing quality checks on their own parts; part dimensions
*Knowledge of G&M Code; best candidate will have 2-3 years of experience utilizing G&M code programming on their own machines
*Ability to work as a team player and help in various departments with various CNC Milling machines as needed
