Aerotek is currently looking to hire a Superintendent for a general contractor in Vancouver, WA. This is a great long-term opportunity with a well-known contractor that is looking to grow the commercial side of their business. In the past, this contractor has been a home-builder. In the last 1-2 years they have been growing the commercial side of their business and want to continue expanding.
When hired, this superintendent will be on a 240 unit multi-family apartment complex project in Camas, WA until at least June, 2018. The project behind that will most likely be a 90-unit multi-family apartment complex in the Portland-Metro area.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Responsible for the organization, coordination, and efficiency of all the crews on the job.
- Provide on-site administrative and technical management (planning, coordination, and supervision) of craft employees and trade contractors to ensure project is constructed safely and organized in accordance to design, budget, schedule, and quality.
- Responsible for the control of costs
- Keep record on work performance and materials
- Inspect construction work
- Report to Project Manager
- Attend owner, architect, contractor meetings
- Coordinate and communicate with public around project.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi-family experience with 5 over 1, concrete podium projects
- Commercial construction also OK if no multi-family.
- Experience on $20M size projects
- Experience working with a volume number of sub-contractors, trades
- Experience with pools, amenities, club house a plus
- Experience with computer systems: MS Project, Sage 300, or Smart Sheet
