Job Description:
- Hardware Design Engineer on site (Power Electronics design focus of adjustable speed drives)
- Power electronics design of drives, may involve the following tasks/skills
- Creating and editing design specifications
- Schematics and PCB layouts
- Sizing/dimensioning of components
- Bills of materials
- Testing of board level components and assemblies
- Testing of prototype drives and later builds including test reports
- Lab work may include prototype assembly of boards and/or drives
- Lab work may include board and drive level testing
- interacting with project and line managers to give technical updates or presentations as required.
- Leadership, oral and written communication skills with the ability to professionally support periodic communication to management and technical teams.
Qualifications:
1.) 3+ years working experience doing design and analysis of power conversion circuits and equipment
Ability to articulate when they have worked through development specifications involving power electronic components, boards and drives
2.) 3+ years experience doing PCB layout, creating and editing design specs and testing board level components and assemblies
